MARBLE

Marble is a lovely natural product which is a metamorphic rock specifically metamorphosed limestone. That’s limestone subjected to extreme heat, pressure and temperature and is composed of  recrystallized carbonate minerals, most commonly calcite.

 

This marble originated from the Philippines and is designed by myself. Marble has the special property of being Heat resistant. The round boards are great to put in the oven and cook pizza on it and they also retain their  heat very well once hot so keeping the pizza warm as well. The boards can also be used to put hot saucepans on this is no problem at all.

 

Marble boards stay cold and are the best board in the world for rolling pastry  working with chocolate or anything in that nature.

 

There are 5 main types of marble here,

Century – with the brown veins

Black

Italian white

Grey

Green.
